Awake (TV Series)

Background:

After surviving a car accident, Detective Michael Britten (played by Jason Isaacs a.k.a. the Lucius Malfoy from the HP film adaptations) experiences two realities: the Green Reality and the Red Reality every time he wakes up. In the Green Reality, he finds that only he and his son Rex survived the accident, with his wife Hannah dead. In the Red Reality, it’s his wife who is alive and his son dead. To be able to know which reality he was in, Michael wears a baller id the same color of the reality he was in.

He then began solving two cases (sometimes different, sometimes alike) in the two realities wherein he discovers clues from the other reality that he missed in the other.

Some Screencaps:

All of the screencaps below are from the last episode because most of the awesome scenes are there.

The first picture is Detective Britten from the Red Reality being visited in the jail by his other self in the Green Reality.

This is one of the creepiest(?) scenes because two of his shrinks (Dr. Lee from the Red Reality and Dr. Evans from the Green Reality) are arguing behind him. This is to consider the fact that they never met each other until this. They appear here as if they’re from his mind.

I really laughed at this one. Lol. Detective Vega in here is in a penguin costume; I don’t even know why.

The final scene of the show

Reaction:

It’s quite obvious already that this show won’t last. It’s just sad though that the last episode is quite hasty with the plot contrary to the slow-paced development of the plot in the earlier episodes. But, that’s understandable.

Also, the ending was quite predictable. I had two theories: that Britten would wake up finding that both of his loved ones are dead or that both of them are alive. I actually did not find the latter to be likely though

Anyway, I really wish they have prolonged this show. There are just too much questions that are unanswered. Was Britten dreaming the whole time? Were those two realities just figments of his mind, a manifestation of the guilt of being not able to save his family? In the end, did Britten wake up in reality or was he trapped in limbo?

[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

i think i better sleep before this one goes into my dreams.

  • Me: Press this button, mom.
  • Mom: Okay.
  • Me: Now, what do you see? What's written in there?
  • Mom: Slide to unlock.
  • Me: So, you slide.
  • Mom: (slides the lock)
  • Me: CONGRATULATIONS! You have unlocked the iPod. Let's proceed to Level 2!

I hate them. Ayaw pa talaga nilang makinig sa akin kasi yung mindset nila ay biased with all those achuchu.

2. May 2 akong impacted na wisdom tooth. Yung isa is pinatanggal na last yr. Syempre alam ko kung gaano kasakit kasi ako lang naman dito sa amin ang may impacted na ngipin.

Nasira tuliy yung plano kung sabihin sa kanila na nagsisimula ng sumakit.

Revenge (Season 1)

Background:

After discovering that her father was framed for a crime he didn’t commit, Amanda Clarke (now known as Emily Thorne) comes back to the place “where it all began” to seek justice for her father. She sets into the stony way of revenge wherein she found more than just answers but also herself doing things she ought not to do.

Some screencaps:

I hate to spoil so maybe the screencaps would do. I quite suck at screencapping and I ought to make GIFs but I’m not in the mood (always is) to do so.

Above is one of the conspirators of the David Clarke case, about to fall from her apartment(?).

Nolan Ross, being taunted by Frank.

Nolan Ross (again), beaten and tied up in his own house.

Here’s a picture of Emily Thorne held at gunpoint by some crazy dude. Still beautiful, dammit

I really feel the pain of this wretched writer man as he watches his house burned to ashes together with his manuscripts and his career.

That’s an image of Daniel Grayson in a kissing scene with the sand. lol

Those are Nolan Ross (again and again) and Emily Thorne held captive and apparently are endorsing Rexona or Axe.

Insights and Reactions:

Obviously, the show has to torture us with the cliffhanger. They’re doing a second season. What else should they do then? Those things are what I keep telling to myself.

Anyway, I pity the death(?) of Victoria and Lydia (maybe). It’s a question mark because I want the show to make a twist and make the alive (although that’s quite unlikely). I want the presence of Victoria. Her bitching ways would surely be missed; she is one villain to be loved. Speaking of bitches, Ashley sure is one. I don’t know but it seems that she likes Daniel from the very start.

Nolan Ross and Emily Thorne are the best at strategies and planning. No matter how cunning the Graysons are, they always find a way of finding a loophole.

I don’t know how they’re gonna put some twists but I, for sure, would be watching the second season.

Random Fact

[And yes, because, I have nothing else to post…]

It was some days before Christmas. I planned on buying the first Percy Jackson and the Olympians book. I went to National Bookstore everyday just to see if there are still copies of that book, back when the bookstore is still near our school.

Anyway, time finally came when there was only one copy for that book. Poor me, I did not bring my enough money for that. Since our house is like 30 minutes away from the store and I cannot take the risk of loathing myself for not buying the book earlier, I formulated this evil-ish plan. I grabbed the PJatO book and hid it behind the Hardy Boys books since they’re quite not in the same shelf and they’re quote of the same color.

Of course, the end of the story is I was able to buy the book. I was thinking of doing the same thing the last time I went to the store. Unfortunately, it’s now in a bigger space and there were more people (nasa mall kasi, putek) and I think they’ve got a working CCTV unlike the NAIA.

I LOVE THOSE KIDS.

how the fuck do you even get shit up there lol.

When you truly hate something, you find ways to destory it. LOL

@crab-cakes: Some ceilings are paneled, and each of these panels is removable for easy access to piping/electrical wiring. It wouldn’t be too difficult to hide a stash of books in the ceiling this way. lol

I would give them each a $50 card, are you kidding?

I actually, sort of did this once. haha. But no, it’s not with a Twilight book.

Did I just see Artie Abrams without those gloves?
